1. Introduction

These API Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the CompactPC Industrial PC Products API (the “API”) provided by DMP Electronics Inc. (“DMP”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) via https://www.compactpc.com.tw and third-party platforms such as RapidAPI.

By accessing or using the API, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our website Terms of Use and Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you must not use the API.

2. API Description

The CompactPC API provides programmatic access to selected product, category, and company metadata related to CompactPC industrial computer products, including but not limited to:

The API is intended for informational and integration purposes only. It does not by itself constitute an offer, quotation, or guarantee of availability, pricing, or compatibility.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of any API keys issued to you and for all activities that occur using your API credentials. You must not share, resell, or expose your API key in client-side code or public repositories.

4. License and Permitted Use

Subject to these Terms, DMP grants you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the API and the data returned (“API Data”) solely for the following purposes:

We may impose rate limits or quotas on API usage (for example, requests per second or per month). These limits may be enforced at the platform level (such as RapidAPI) or directly on our infrastructure.

While we strive to keep API Data accurate and up to date, we do not warrant that all information is current, complete, or error-free. Product specifications, availability, and pricing may change at any time without notice.

You are responsible for validating critical information (such as pricing, stock status, and compatibility) through official channels or direct communication with DMP or its authorized partners before making business decisions.

8. Intellectual Property

All intellectual property rights in and to the API, the API Data, and the CompactPC brand (including but not limited to trademarks, logos, product names, and documentation) remain the exclusive property of DMP Electronics Inc.

These Terms do not grant you any ownership rights in the API or API Data. You may not use DMP or CompactPC trademarks in a manner that suggests endorsement or partnership without our prior written consent.

9. No Warranty

THE API AND ALL API DATA ARE PROVIDED ON AN “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF ACCURACY, RELIABILITY, MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not guarantee uninterrupted, secure, or error-free operation of the API.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL DMP OR ITS AFFILIATES, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, OR PARTNERS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE API OR API DATA, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

Our total aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the API or these Terms shall not exceed the amount (if any) paid by you to us specifically for API access during the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

11. Modification, Suspension, and Termination

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the API (in whole or in part) at any time, with or without notice. Where reasonable, we will attempt to provide advance notice of significant breaking changes.

We may also terminate or suspend your access to the API immediately if:

If you access the API through a third-party marketplace such as RapidAPI, your use may also be subject to that platform’s own terms and conditions, including pricing, quotas, and billing policies. In case of any conflict, these API Terms govern the relationship between you and DMP with respect to the API Data and our rights.

13. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of China (Taiwan), without regard to its conflict of law principles.

Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms or the API shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in Hsinchu, Taiwan.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the API after changes have been posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
